To The Editor:
As a former school district superintendent, I understand that the primary responsibility of the county office of education is to support the county’s school districts. In order to fulfill this obligation, it is imperative that the County Superintendent lead with a spirit of empathy, cooperation and inclusion so that all districts feel supported.
I have worked with Nicole Glentzer over the last 8 years and have found that she possesses all of these traits. Under the shadow of the pandemic, Nicole has been at the forefront of returning students and staffs to their campuses and to a safe environment. She has fostered positive and cooperative relationships focused on problem solving with her district’s employee representatives. She has demonstrated an openness to alternative points of view and solutions. She also possesses a contagious energy and positivity in dealing with even the toughest of issues.
I urge you to join me in voting for Nicole Glentzer. The county’s students and staff will reap the benefits.
Raymond Chadwick
Ukiah
as a voter i have some questions for both candidates.
1) what is your position on CRT and its role in the classroom?
2) what is your position on shot and mask mandates for school kids?
3) what is your position of so-called gender affirmation and its role in the schools?
4) what is your position on indoctrination and promotion of kids in questioning their gender?
5) what is your position of a moment of silence allowing for prayer and the pledge of allegiance in the classroom?
6) what is your position on project 1619 and its role in the classroom?
7) “Last year, the California Department of Education released the first draft of a new curriculum framework for K-12 mathematics, which guides classroom teaching. ” …which introduces the woke math concept to the classrooms . what is your position on this?
Thank you in advance for your thoughtful consideration of these matters.
Apparently isolating my gra dchild and sending him home even though he was 100% healthy with no symptoms… all because another kid tested positive is good leadership?
Then when the parents didn’t want him tested she told them she would call CPS AND Ukiah PD if they brought him back to school!
no, I have great respect for Ray but I must disagree with this endorsement… She should NOT get this position… She is the reason 14 of my 15 gra dkids are no longer enrolled in Public Schools in Mendocino County
