On June 1, 2022, Clearlake Police Department detectives obtained a $1 million arrest warrant for Robert Flores, 44, Clearlake, as part of a child sexual assault investigation. The warrant was for two counts of sexual acts with a child 10 or younger, and one count of lewd and lascivious acts upon a child.

Over the past several days, officers have been following leads to locate and apprehend Flores. This afternoon, their investigation led officers to the City of Ukiah. Clearlake officers Kelleher, Eagle, Crenshaw and Detective Franklin along with City of Ukiah Police Department officers located Flores in the parking lot of a business. Flores attempted to elude officers by running but his flight was short lived when he took sight of K9 Zeus with his handler, Officer Eagle. Flores was taken into custody for booking at the Lake County Jail.

We are thankful for the numerous tips we have received from community members to safely locate and apprehend Flores. We would also like to thank the Lake County Sheriff’s Office and Ukiah Police Department for their assistance in our search for Flores as he crisscrossed jurisdictions.

In consideration of the privacy of the victim, we will not be releasing additional information regarding the case at this time.

As with all arrests, the person arrested has a legal presumption of innocence until proven guilty in a court of law.

  1. What a fine upstanding person he looks like.
Wanna bet he has not been released from prison multiple times by progressive judges?
I always trust people with facial tattoos, they are so hip and cool.

  2. Cant judge a book by its cover. But he does look personable friendly and caring. If hes guilty? Book and release! If not? The system will drag him thru the mud for decades
