The following is a press release issued by the California Highway Patrol Lake County Office. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:
On 06/19/22, at approximately 0010 hours, Amanda Arney was walking eastbound on the south shoulder of SR-20, west of Sayre Avenue in Nice, CA. Arney was struck by a 2013 Toyota Sienna driven by Len, which fled the scene in an easterly direction on SR-20.
On 6/21/22, through execution of search warrants and extensive investigation, an area search was conducted with assistance by the Lake County Sheriff’s Department, Len was located in Clearlake, CA, and was placed under arrest by the California Highway Patrol at 1550 hours. Len was booked at the Lake County Jail on felony hit-and-run and vehicular manslaughter.
