Residents of Shimmins Ridge might notice a sizable law enforcement presence in their neck of the woods today as officers conduct a marijuana enforcement search warrant at a property along the rural road.

Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office Captain Greg Van Patten confirmed law enforcement personnel are conducting a “Marijuana enforcement search warrant.” He attributed the multiple vehicles and personnel to the “remoteness of location” and the “potential size required a large presence for officer safety.”

A reader told us around 9:00 a.m. they witnessed eight vehicles amassed at the base of Shimmins Ridge with officers donning bulletproof vests.

Another described a sizable convoy staging in the same area with multiple vehicles and law enforcement personnel.

  1. Is it 1995, McFly?…weed is friggin dead! Unless its cartel people or land/water pollution/diversion going on, who cares? I think all that time & man power could be better used elsewhere. Like cleaning up the streets of ukiah of the fentynal & crime happening…or maybe they need to confiscate land & property to pay for all the lawsuits?
