CAL FIRE Law Enforcement Arrest Tehama County Woman Suspected of Igniting Multiple Fires

The following is a press release issued by CAL FIRE. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:

On Wednesday, July 27, 2022, CAL FIRE Law Enforcement Officers arrested a Tehama County woman in connection with four fires in Tehama County.

Tina Farnsworth was arrested on four counts of Penal Code 451(c) arson to a structure or
wildland and two counts of Penal Code 594(b)(1) vandalism. She was transported to the Tehama County Jail, where she is being held in lieu of $330,000 bail.

Two counts of Penal Code 451(c) and the two counts of Penal Code 594(b)(1) were related to structure fires at the Northbound Lt John C. Helmick Rest Area in Corning on March 16, 2022, and May 6, 2022. The other two counts of Penal Code 451(c) were related to wildland fires from June and July 2020 in the Cottonwood area.

  1. Strange to see a woman committing such crimes. Neither here nor there just not a crime typically associated with woman.. .either way keep the little pyro locked up for as long as allowed by law! There’s been a growing problem with mentally ill & homeless people starting fires lately.
