Scanner traffic and the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information page indicate a mudslide on Highway 101 between Hopland and Cloverdale resulted in a single-vehicle traffic accident.
The mudslide initially reported around 8:11 p.m. has covered both northbound lanes of Highway 101.
The collision occurred around 8:33 p.m. Initial information described a single-vehicle traffic collision near the Mendocino/Sonoma County line. A single party was reportedly trapped in the vehicle resting in the northbound lane requiring extrication.
UPDATE 8:46 p.m.: The Incident Commander there is a single patient involved with the incident and they suffered “moderate injuries” from the collision. Extrication was not required.
UPDATE 9:15 p.m.: The Incident Commander confirmed the roadway is officially blocked and officials are working to tow the vehicle involved and clear the mud and debris.

Sounds like just the North bound side is blocked. By morning there could be alot of roads with delays going toward Saint Helena. Might be a good sick day.
