On Friday, Feb 3rd, 2023, at approximately 12:34p.m., a male suspect robbed The Exchange Bank located at 136 Calistoga Road in Santa Rosa. The suspect produced a note demanding money from a bank teller. The note indicated that the suspect had a weapon and threatened violence against the teller if they didn’t hand over money. At one point, he started to lift his shirt when handing over the note. It is unknown if he was armed with a gun. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled on foot and was last seen running southbound on Calistoga Road.
The suspect was described as a White or Hispanic male adult, approximately 5’4” to 5’6” tall, medium build, approximately 30 years old. He was last seen wearing a grey button up, long-sleeved shirt, black gloves, blue pants, black shoes, a NY Yankees baseball hat, and a grey face mask.
After searching the immediate area, the suspect was not located. However, the articles of clothing he was last seen wearing were located in the vicinity of the robbery.
SRPD is seeking the public’s assistance in that area with reviewing any residential video cameras that would have captured the suspect’s movements at the time.
A reward of up to $2,500 is being offered by the Sonoma County Alliance Community Engagement and Safety Rewards Fund. The reward is for information leading to the arrest of the suspect or suspects involved in this robbery.
