Good news for Travelers! Caltrans posted on Facebook at noon, “U.S. 101 now OPEN in Mendocino County.”

They stated, “U.S. 101 south of Piercy (pm 102) to north of Leggett (pm 91.2) is now OPEN to one-way controlled traffic. Expect delays and please drive with caution, as crews are still working in the area.”

According to Caltrans, Hwy 101 is now open between the Oregon border and the Bay Area and beyond.

The major route has been closed since late Thursday after a large snowstorm knocked down trees, power lines and poles, and caused multiple crashes.

As of 12:08 p.m., Caltrans QuickMap has not been updated but we expect it to be updated soon.
