The following is a press release issued by the County of Mendocino:
The Mendocino County Museum is pleased to announce the Board of Supervisors’ approval of our five-year Strategic Plan. The purpose of the Strategic Plan is to identify and communicate comprehensive actions needed to ensure the Museum’s offerings meet the needs of our community now and into the future.
The Museum collected 337 survey response forms that conveyed valuable ideas for expanding exhibits and programs, and further articulated the needs of our visitors. Additionally, seven Community Forums were held county-wide. Insight provided during these sessions was recorded and reported to the Strategic Planning Committee.
The accomplishment of finalizing the plan was made possible by the commitment and advocacy of the Strategic Planning Committee, the Museum Advisory Board, Museum Staff, Volunteers, and the feedback provided by the greater Mendocino County Community. Museum Staff look forward to implementing the goals and priorities identified in the Strategic Plan in partnership with our community and stakeholders. We invite you to review the plan on our website.
The Museum welcomes ongoing feedback which can be provided via email. Mattsonk@mendocinoocounty.org.
The Mendocino County Museum would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Strategic Planning Committee members, Friends of the Museum President Brent Walker, Museum Advisory Board Member Rebecca Montes, Third District Supervisor John Haschak, Willits City Manager Brian Bender, and Mendocino College History Professor Neeka Aguirre. The Mendocino County Museum is truly grateful to this team for their commitment, time, and collaboration with the Mendocino County Community.
