Logging Truck Catches Fire in Laytonville Blocking Highway 101 Northbound

A logging truck is on fire on Highway 101 currently in the town of Laytonville requiring first responders to shut down the northbound lane.

Scanner traffic beginning around 10:14 p.m. indicated a semi-truck hauling a load of wood planks was on fire and someone was seen getting out of the vehicle.

Specifically, the cab of the semi was engulfed in flame. By 10:26 p.m., the fire was reported to be”mostly extinguished”.
