[UPDATE: Knocked Down]’Shady Fire’ Threatening Structures in Lake County

A grass fire known as the “Shady Fire” is threatening structures in the Lake County community of Clearlake Oaks this afternoon prompting both ground and air firefighting resources to respond.

Scanner traffic beginning around 12:58 p.m. indicated the fire is burning near the 12000 block of Shady Lane near the intersection with State Route 20.

The Incident Commander reported the fire is a half-acre in size and burning uphill toward structures.


UPDATE 1:12 p.m.: The Incident Commander reported the fire has been knocked down and canceled all incoming units aside from three engines and one helicopter.
