Traffic Collision in Lake County Kills 52-Year-Old Kelseyville Man

The following is a press release issued by the California Highway Patrol:

On August 25, 2023, at approximately 1205 hours, California Highway Patrol officers assigned to the Clear Lake Area responded to a two-vehicle collision on State Route 29, north of Diener Drive. A preliminary investigation indicates Party No. 1 was driving a 2017 Chevrolet pickup truck northbound on State Route 29 approaching Party No. 2, who was driving a 2016 Kenworth truck southbound on State Route 29. For reasons still being investigated, The Chevrolet crossed over into the southbound traffic lane and collided with the Kenworth’s trailer. The Chevrolet continued off the roadway and into a tree. As a result of the collision, Party No. 1 sustained fatal injuries.

This collision is still under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Clear Lake Area.
