The following is a press release issued by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. This has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:
On October 24, 2023, at approximately 4:30 PM, Lake County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to the Red and White market in Clearlake Oaks, for a report of shots fired. It was reported that a male subject had shot at transients in the area with a rifle. The responding deputies arrived on scene and determined no one was injured. Witnesses provided a vehicle description and deputies quickly located the vehicle at a nearby residence in the 12000 block of Shoreview Dr. in Clearlake Oaks. The suspect, later identified as Glenn Prasad, was located inside the residence and detained.
Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit obtained a search warrant and upon searching the residence, found an unregistered AR style rifle matching the description provided by witnesses. Prasad was arrested for a felony violation of 246.3(A)PC Willful Discharge of a Firearm in a Gross Negligent manner and felony 30605(A)PC Illegally Possess any Assault Weapon. Prasad was transported to the Lake County Correctional Facility, where he is currently in custody.
Was this individual born and raised in the U. S. A? Either way he had no right shooting at a non life threatening individual (s) . How would it transpire? Except that he was firing at just citizens in line or view of fire. It may not be because they were transients only that they were the 1st he saw in range. I could’ve been anyone. It could’ve been a hate come; doesn’t like skin color, way they look or just ? American!.
