The C.V. Starr Center has been working with the contractor Knorr Systems Inc., based in Santa Ana, California, to order parts and schedule much-needed repairs to the pool. The repairs include the urgent auto-fill system, UV disinfection, and backwash maintenance.

On October 18, 2023, the contractor notified C.V. Starr that the pool parts had arrived and
scheduled maintenance for November 1 to the 10th, 2023. The autofill and backwash systems have progressively been failing—maintenance staff will work with the contractor to complete these emergency repairs and replace the UV disinfection system. Unfortunately, if the auto-fill fails, the pool will be shut down longer if these critical repairs aren’t addressed.

This maintenance work is necessary to ensure no future interruptions to the pool hours. Several current lifeguard staff will also be recertified during this temporary pool closure.
The Center apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and wishes to assure its members and swim teams that it intends to have the pool back open on November 11, 2023, and to host the Mendocino Sea Dragons swim team meet beginning November 18, 2023.

We thank you for your patience and understanding.
