The search for a man suspected of beheading what Santa Rosa Police are describing as his “relative” is over after he was arrested this morning in San Francisco.

The Santa Rosa Police Department announced that 24-year-old Luis Aroyo-Lopez was taken into custody in the City of San Francisco adding “we do not have any details regarding his arrest at this time.”

A Facebook post with nearly 800 shares indicates the woman Aroyo-Lopez allegedly decapitated was his very own grandmother.

A press release issued by the Santa Rosa Police Department states that 24-year-old Luis Gustavo Aroyo-Lopez allegedly killed a female relative on the 2500 block of Pomo Trails where officers found an “adult female victim had been decapitated”. The press release specified that Aroyo-Lopez potentially took the victim’s head with him when he fled.
