Major Injury Crash on 101 North of Willits Early This Morning

MajorInjuryFeaturedAt about 3:51 a.m. a semi truck and a Suzuki SUV crashed on Hwy 101 at mile marker 53.4 north of Willits.

Two people were taken to Howard Hospital. At least one has major injuries, according to CHP spokesperson in Garberville, Officer Jonathan Clevenger.

Clevenger told us that the-Suzuki SUV went off the road about 20 feet. He said the semi went off the road about 15 feet but the trailer of the semi is still on the road and slowing traffic.

The tow companies are on the scene and working on removing the vehicles. Caltrans QuickMap shows traffic is moving very slowly in both directions as of 8:12 a.m.
