Last Friday, January 12, 2024, the Mendocino/Lake Regional SWAT Team was deployed to assist an illegal firearm investigation at a Clearlake residence. One man was taken into custody.

Laurene Berlinn, the Public Information Officer of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, told us a search warrant was authored by an LCSO deputy for a residence on the 15000 block of 27th Avenue.

Berlinn confirmed the subject arrested at the scene was 24-year-old Clearlake resident Christopher Ryan Ford and officers seized “several illegal firearms”.

She did not specifiy the the type of illegal weapons, but his booking information indicates he was arrested for felony possession of any assault weapon, felony possession of a silencer, and felony unlicensed sale/loan/transfer of firearms.

On Friday morning many Lake County residents took to social media reporting sightings of law enforcement convoys and armored transport.

It must be stated that the charges have not been proven in a court of law. In accordance with the legal principle of the presumption of innocence, any individual described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty.

  1. The raid happened at my nieces house, it was her boyfriend. There was only one gun and one silencer. I so mad I could eat nails. Chris is a stupid young kid.

    • Yeah, that’s definitely a youngster’s bad moves. How the cops got the intel was probably someone the kid bragged too about having the items squealed . Lakes full of punks and snitches.

  2. I agree Christopher is a dumb ass kid sometimes but how many dumb ass kids do you guys have without any criminal record and a full time job for over a year where any hard working man in our community has probably seen him at work.
