UPD Officers responded to the area and found the vehicle parked in the parking lot of the Royal Motel, 750  South State Street. UPD Officers secured the parking lot and determined the vehicle was unoccupied.  Suspecting the suspect(s) were inside one of the motel rooms, UPD Officers contacted motel management and asked to review security footage. Upon reviewing footage, UPD Officers saw a single male exit the stolen vehicle and enter into room #118.

Prior to knocking on the door of room #118, a male later identified as, 23-year-old Andrew Cedillo, exited the room and voluntarily surrendered himself to UPD Officers. Other UPD Officers approached room #118 and contacted a female later identified as, 27-Year-Old Victoria Vasquez. Through the open door, UPD Officers noticed another male subject laying on the bed along with illegal narcotics and possible weapons lying next to him. UPD Officers detained Vasquez and the male and conducted a protective sweep of the motel room. During the sweep, UPD Officers located two males hiding in the bathroom as well as more illegal narcotics in plain view. Both males were ordered out and both complied. They were identified as, 34-year-old Jonathan Cisneros and 37-year-old Jesse Connolly. All occupants were interviewed at the scene.

The UPD Detective Bureau assisted UPD Officers and secured the room and wrote a search warrant in order to search for and seize illegal drugs. The search warrant was granted, UPD Officers and Detectives located usable amounts of suspected methamphetamine and cocaine. UPD Officers and Detectives also located materials used to package illegal narcotics, digital scales and items used to ingest illegal narcotics. The UPD Detective Bureau is actively investigating this incident in regards to the illegal narcotics and paraphernalia seized.

The four previously mentioned suspects were arrested and booked at the Mendocino County Jail. Cedillo was booked for possession of a stolen vehicle. Vasquez was booked for possession of methamphetamine and possession of cocaine. Cisneros was booked for two Lake County warrants. One was a misdemeanor warrant and the other was a felony warrant. Connolly was booked for three warrants out of Mendocino County. One was  a misdemeanor and the other two were for felony violations. One of the felony violations was for an attempted  murder case taken by the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office.

  1. Don’t come to Mendocino County and think you can get away with criminal activity because our police officers will find you! We have the best of the best keeping this city safe! Thank you UPD?

  2. The Royal Motel? Shocked this wasn’t at the Motel 6 north ????. Dope crimes go down at our handful of shady motels. I wonder if any actual travelers stay there? Or is it just paroleys and local meth enthusiasts?
