Adventist Health Ukiah Valley and a group of nonprofit organization partners are working together to conduct a survey of community health and well-being. Part of Adventist Health Ukiah Valley’s Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA), the short, anonymous survey gives residents the opportunity to weigh in on the quality of life in our community. Completing the health needs survey will help shape the strategies and programs that address our area’s most pressing health issues.
“As a nonprofit healthcare organization, it’s essential for us to ensure we’re effectively serving our community. This survey allows us to hear directly from our friends and neighbors about their top health needs,” says Eric Stevens, Northern California Network president for Adventist Health. “We are dedicated to collaborating with our community to build a healthy and happy future for everyone who calls Mendocino County home.”
Community Health Needs Assessments are conducted every three years by nonprofit hospitals such as Adventist Health Ukiah Valley. In addition to the survey, the hospital and its CHNA steering committee members host focus groups and listening sessions and look at data from multiple sources to create a comprehensive community needs assessment. The assessment is used to build strategies to address health needs; the hospital reports on these efforts every year.
The CHNA survey is open through August 23, and community members can anonymously contribute their thoughts at AdventistHealthCHNA.org/Mendocino.
Adventist Health is also partnering with Mendocino County Public Health, which is conducting a wider and more comprehensive community wellness survey to help provide resources for people across Mendocino County. This will help Mendocino County Public Health understand the needs of each community within the county and learn more about what’s important to residents. The results from the survey will be made publicly available and the findings will assist Public Health and local organizations in enhancing and expanding services.
Adventist Health encourages community members to take this survey as we all work together to make Mendocino County the best place to live, work, and play. The Public Health survey is open through August 23 at www.research.net/r/MendocinoSurvey24.

Last time I went to the Adventist ER the bill was $2800 plus a $700 blood draw even with our insurance that is over $800 a month. Welcome to the community of stress and unwellness. Ukiahs ER care has always been horrible so we make the treck up to Willits. I guess free healthcare for the bums and illegal immigrants isn’t exactly free….not for us taxpayers anyways.
Willits is also Adventist Health. I wish we had more options.
Yes I know. Much better service at Willits Adventist but still very expensive for the working man or woman.

They don’t want to give us any other options
