The following is a press release issued by the California Highway Patrol:
On August 17th, 2024, at approximately 1240 hours, a 2006 Chevrolet was being driven south on US-101 south of Ridgewood Ranch Road, For reasons still under investigation, the driver lost control of the Chevrolet and left the west road edge of US-101. The Chevrolet overturned and came to rest on it’s roof. The driver sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical personnel.
The name of the deceased is being withheld until notification to family members can be made. Alcohol or drug use does not appear to be a factor in the crash. This crash remains under investigation by the Ukiah CHP.
