This is a press release from the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:

On 07-31-2020 at approximately 12:00 p.m., Mendocino County Sheriff’s Deputies received a radio call for service regarding a domestic dispute at a residence in the 23000 block of DeHaven Creek Road in Westport, California.

On their arrival Deputies contacted the involved parties and learned Dennis Day and 32 year-old female were romantically involved with children in common.

During an investigation into the incident, Deputies determined a verbal argument had taken place and escalated into a physical confrontation, where Day reportedly pushed the adult female to the ground.  Deputies observed the adult female had sustained minor visible injuries consistent with the reported assault.

Day was subsequently arrested for domestic violence battery and booked into the Mendocino County Jail where he was to be held in lieu of $25,000.00 bail.
