Mendocino Theatre Company’s 2020 reading series continues “on the air” with AMERICAN GOTHIC, with a reading of works by Edgar Allan Poe. The reading will be broadcast on local community radio station KZYX tonight, Thursday, November 5th at 7:00 pm.
Directed by Lynn Sotos, AMERICAN GOTHIC features four of Poe’s poems — “The Bells”, “The Raven”, “Annabel Lee”, and “The Conqueror Worm” — and dramatizations of two of Poe’s most-beloved short stories, “The Tell-Tale Heart” and “The Cask of Amontillado”, adapted for radio by Mark W. Jordan.
