Today’s Ukiah Unified Food Distribution Will Feature the Ingredients for a Holiday Feast

Categories:

The following is a messaged issued by the Ukiah Unified School District:

The festive Ukiah Unified elves from Food Service are teaming up with reindeer from Transportation and Grounds to provide 14 days of food tomorrow, including a special Holiday Box for each family! Food distribution will NOT happen next week on December 23rd.

In addition to regular food items for two weeks, every family will receive a box with ingredients for cooking a holiday meal at home. A frozen turkey or ham, stuffing mix, potatoes, yams, broccoli, cauliflower, celery, onions, cranberries, and fresh fruit are included in the Holiday Box. Some menu items are limited, and the selection may vary.

The elves will also provide fresh persimmons in tomorrow’s distribution as part of our Harvest of the Month program. Click here to learn about persimmons and Harvest of the Monthhttps://www.uusd.net/apps/news/article/1356006

We are excited to offer FREE food to every Ukiah Unified Student and any child 18 years or younger, thanks to a California program. We hope you take advantage of this program so that every student can access healthy, nutritious meals.

Remember to wear a mask and practice physical distancing when receiving food. Please reach out to your school for support or call 707-472-5003. Don’t forget to read with your kids over the break, and Happy Holidays from everyone at Ukiah Unified!
