68-Year-Old North Coast Woman is Mendocino County’s Latest Casualty to COVID-19

Mendocino County Public Health’s COVID-19 Dashboard Update from January 16, 2020

On Saturday, January 16, 2021, Mendocino County Public Health provided its latestest COVID-19 Dashboard update announcing 18 more residents have tested positive for the virus and one more Mendocino County resident has died.

Ashley Toxqui, the Public Information Officer for Mendocino County Public Health, told us the county “has lost our 32nd resident to COVID-19, a painful reminder that this pandemic is not over. Our 32nd death was a 68-year-old female from the North Coast, who was transferred to an out-of-county hospital, where she then passed away.”

This recent deaths comes as vaccine efforts across the county continue to escalate with the county claiming in a recent press release that to date the county has vaccinated 5,970 individuals.
