The following is a press release issued by the Santa Rosa Police Department. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:
1/21/21 at approximately 2:28 am, Officers from the Santa Rosa Police Department were dispatched to an assault with a deadly weapon in the 200 Block of W 3rd St. As officer arrived, they determined a victim had invited a female to his house. After she arrived, she asked if she could smoke a cigarette. As the victim opened the back door three hooded and masked males attacked the resident. The victim was hit and kicked numerous times during the incident. One suspect was armed with a shotgun. During the fight the victim was able to break free from the suspects and arm himself with a knife. The suspects continued to assault the victim. The victim felt he was going to be beaten unconscious and began stabbing one of his attackers. The suspect with the shotgun fired one round in the air and then the gun jammed. The victim was able to get free from his attackers and take the shotgun from the suspects. The victim ran from his home and was able to call police from a neighbor’s residence. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he received medical treatment for his serious but not life-threatening injuries. Due to the violent nature of this crime the victim’s name is not being released.
A short time later one of the suspects was dropped off by his coconspirators at a local hospital. It was at the local hospital that he was pronounced dead. The suspect was identified as Jedediah Boncutter, an 18-year-old Kelseyville resident. A short time later the California Highway Patrol was dispatched to a solo vehicle accident in the area of Highway 12 and Highway 121. When they arrived on scene, they found a solo female occupant with the vehicle. The vehicle had blood inside, and the driver stated her boyfriend had been stabbed in the Santa Rosa area and taken to the hospital. It was discovered that the female, Oliva Elcock, a 19-year-old Kelseyville resident, had been involved with the other suspects in this incident.
Elcock, Boncutter, and several other suspects drove to Santa Rosa with the intent to rob the victim. The suspects are suspected Norteno Gang participants. They entered the victim’s residence assaulted him and fired off a shotgun. Elcock was placed under arrest and booked into the Sonoma County Main Adult Detention Facility. She was arrested for:

12022.5 3(C) PC – Discharge of a firearm during a robbery
186.22 (b)(1)(b) PC- Gang Enhancement
This investigation is still on-going, and detectives are seeking anyone who may have information related to this robbery. Anyone who witnessed the robbery is encouraged to call the Santa Rosa Police Violent Crimes Team at 707-543-3590. Tips/Information can also be reported at www.srcity.org/CrimeTips (even anonymous). A reward of up to $2,500 is being offered by the Sonoma County Alliance Community Engagement and Safety Rewards Fund. The reward is for information leading to the arrest of the suspect or suspects involved in this robbery.
