The following is a press released issued by the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:
On 04-10-2021 at about 10:10 PM, Mendocino County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to an argument between a male and female in the 29000 block of North Highway 101 in Willits, California.
Upon arrival they contacted an adult female with visible injuries to her face. The injuries included bruising around her eye and a cut on her lip. The Deputies also contacted Thomas Maddox who had a visible injury to his hand.
The Deputies learned the couple lived together and are in a dating relationship.
Deputies learned the couple had been involved in a verbal argument and both appeared to be under the influence of drug and/or alcohol at the time of the incident.
A records check was conducted on both subjects. Maddox was found to be on formal and summary probation. The probation terms include no alcohol, obey all laws and have only peaceful contact with the adult female.
Maddox was arrested and booked into the Mendocino County Jail for Domestic Battery (273.5 PC) and Violation of Probation (1203.2 PC). He was to be held in lieu of $35,000.00 bail.
