There is a drive through COVID-19 vaccination clinic at Ukiah High School tomorrow that is now open to the public as well as all Ukiah Unified families. There are plenty of appointments. You can sign up through My Turn. It is open to anyone 16 and over. See details below and sign up through My Turn.
Drive Through Vaccination Clinic Tomorrow May 1 from 8:45 AM – 1:00 PM. This is a drive-through clinic and everyone will need to enter the Ukiah High School parking lot from Despina and will be exiting on Low Gap Road. It is recommended not to use Low Gap Road to enter onto Despina, use Empire Drive to Despina. Once arrived at the parking lot entrance people will be provided direction how to move through the drive-through clinic. Multiple people may be in the vehicle who want to receive a vaccination. People should be prepared to wait the appropriate 15 or 30 minutes after their vaccine is administered in the adjacent parking lot. Emergency personnel will be monitoring this area. It is advised people bring water to drink while they are waiting in their vehicle.

According to the attached article it’s not a vaccine. I guess using the term helps in digesting the fact that it’s actually a massive clinical trial on a global scale. The “Covid” is no more a threat to young and younger people than is a seasonal flu. Occasionally some one young succumbs. That is the way it has always been. Sad for sure. This is how natural herd immunity is acquired. “Covid” is a threat to the older population, the elderly, particularly those who have co-morbidities such as diseased lungs, stroke sufferers, weak hearts, diabetics, cancer, and just being frail. Funny thing about the last flu season disappearing only to be replaced by “Covid.” Finally, the variety pack vaccines are not a vaccine. This is not parsing a term.
