Spend Labor Day weekend, September 3-5, at the Hog Farm’s famous Black Oak Ranch in Mendocino County, 5 miles N. of Laytonville, for the first annual Kind Bud Campout (KBCO) Cannabis Festival. One of the highlights of the KBCO is that the entire concert bowl will be a fully licensed cannabis retail marketplace and lounge, featuring cannabis grown outdoors in Northern California.
Wake (and bake) to ganja yoga in the morning and attend interactive workshops about Cannabis and Wellness during the day. Live music will be heard throughout the festival, along with ambient performances and roaming acts to entertain you as you make long-lasting memories.
On the Main Stage there is a full line up of outstanding musicians scheduled. Friday’s lineup includes reggae artists Etana, The Fully Fullwood Band, Junior Toots, Bobby Hustle, DJ Green B, along with Clan Dyken, who will perform their green set, and local favorite Blue Luke with his mesmerizing mixture of rock, blues and jazz.
On Saturday we’ll be jamming with Kind Bud & the Joints featuring Papa Mali, Matt Hubbard (7 Walkers), Bobby Vega (Zero) and Jay Lane (Wolfe Bros) performing a West Coast exclusive Garcia-Hunter set. Midnight North, with their original roots’ music, Rosebud will keep you moving playing Grateful Dead style originals & covers and singer-songwriters Eddie Esler, Joe Rut, and The Real Sarahs will each perform their own unique music.
At the Arlo Stage, workshops during the day turn into variety shows at night, featuring some of Mendocino and the Bay Area’s premier entertainers. A plethora of dazzling circus performers will delight and entertain during our midnight open mic and variety show.
Each year the KBCO will honor a Kind Bud Legend. This year’s award goes to Elvy Musikka, legacy activist and federal marijuana patient who received monthly allotments of cannabis from the Compassionate Investigational New Drug Program to treat her glaucoma for 32 years.
We are all so excited to be social again, we are taking extra precautions to make sure that we can gather safely and with respect to everyone’s needs and desires. All that attend the 2021KBCO will agree to follow California and Mendocino County COVID19 guidance & regulations that are in effect on Sept. 3-5th.
