Rescue Efforts Underway After Woman Falls Thirty Feet Down Cliff on Mendocino County Coast

Categories:

Starting at approximately 11:30 a.m., multiple resources have been dispatched to Bruhel Point, a geographic feature south of Westport on the Mendocino County Coast, regarding a woman who has fallen 30 feet down a cliff.

Initial scanner reports indicated a water rescue was necessary but the first responders determined that the woman is on land 30 feet below the established trail.

Multiple agencies have responded to the incident including Westport Fire, Mendocino Fire, Fort Bragg ambulance, CalFire, and State Parks.

An air ambulance has been dispatched to the location. Triangle rescue equipment has been requested which would allow the woman to be hoisted upwards to the helicopter.

Please remember that this story is unfolding. Information is being reported as we gather it. However, some of the information coming from witnesses and initial official reports could be wrong.
