Fort Bragg Police Arrest Man Suspected of Armed Robbery at Rite Aid

At approximately 5:40 p.m. scanner chatter indicated an armed robbery had occurred at Fort Bragg’s Rite Aid drug store and then the suspect fled. Fort Bragg Police Officers pursued the suspect and after a tense moment of guns drawn successfully detained the subject.

Initial reports described the suspected robber as approximately 60-years-old with blonde hair and glasses wearing a black coat and a brief case.

The reporting party told dispatch the suspect said he had firearm when holding up the store.

FBPD pursued the suspect who reportedly fled behind Fort Bragg’s Department of Motor Vehicles. They tracked the suspect to an alley way where they drew firearms and successfully detained the suspect.

The dispatcher confirmed the suspect is on federal probation for robbery out of Sonoma County
