53-Year-Old Woman Suffers ‘Partial Finger Amputation’ in Van Damme State Park

Scanner traffic around 9:20 p.m. indicated medical personnel have been dispatched to Van Damme State Park on the Mendocino Coast regarding a woman who has suffered a “partial finger amputation.”

The patient is 53-years-old and currently first responders are debating whether an air ambulance should be requested to respond to the incident.

UPDATE 9:59 p.m.: An air ambulance was making its way to the incident when they had to abort due to visibility issues associated with wildfire smoke. A ground ambulance is making it way to the area.
