Scanner traffic at 9:03 p.m. indicated firefighters are responding to the 5000 block of Yokayo Ranch Road after reports emerged of a “boom” heard in the area as well as flames being seen.
Ukiah Valley Fire Authority and Cal Fire Chamberlin Creek Crew were called to the scene.
UPDATE 9:11 p.m.: Initial reports from the scene indicate the fire on Yokayo Ranch Road is currently one-half acre in size and is growing at a slow rate of spread.
UPDATE 9:16 p.m.: The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office issued a Nixle Fire Activity Advisory regarding this incident:
CURRENT FIRE IN THE AREA OF YOKAYO RANCH RD AND OLD RIVER RD IN TALMAGE. FIRE AND LAW ENFORCEMENT PERSONNEL ARE ON SCENE, PLEASE USE SITUATIONAL AWARENESS AND STAY OUT OF THE AREA.
