[UPDATE: All Units Canceled] Hit & Run with Injuries Reported North of Piercy After Motorcycle ‘Knocked Down’

Scanner traffic beginning at approximately 8:50 p.m. indicates first responders have been dispatched to Highway 101 north of Piercy near the Mendocino/Humboldt County line after a motorcyclist was knocked down suffering an injury.

The motorcycle rider is reportedly the one who called in the incident and the exact location of the bike and him is unclear.

Scanner traffic indicates that California Highway Patrol officers are en route to the scene as well as Legget-Piercy Fire personnel, a Garberville ground ambulance, and a REACH air ambulance.

UPDATE 9:13 p.m.: Scanner traffic indicates all units responding have been canceled. One Piercy Fire unit is at the scene providing first aide.

UPDATE 9:23 p.m.: The CHP Traffic Incident Information page indicates the incident resulted in the motorcycle lying 20 feet off the roadway.
