[UPDATE: Good News] Ukiah Woman Missing for Nearly a Month Last Seen in San Francisco

The family of 30-year-old Ukiah woman Tia Higgins is worried. Their daughter was in San Francisco on October 12, 2021, when she called them and has not been seen or heard from since.

Jenny Higgins, Tia’s mother, told us her last known contact with her daughter was when she called from San Francisco on October 12. That same day, Tia reportedly called her boyfriend’s mother. Jenny added she had received reports from a friend of her daughter’s she has seen Tia in San Francisco but told us she questioned the reliability of those reports.

Ukiah Police Department’s Sergeant Andrew Snyder confirmed an official missing person’s police report had been filed with the agency and the case was actively being investigated.

Tia Higgins is Native American with ties to the Round Valley Wylackis. She is 5′ 2” and 160 lbs. She has green eyes, brown hair that is often dyed.

Tia has several prominent tattoos including “Dhalia Monroe” on her left forearm, flowers and hearts on her chest, “Anthony” on her neck, a red heart with “Trust” on the back of her neck, and a bear paw on her right hand.

UPDATE 5:07 p.m: Tia Higgins, the 30-year-old Ukiah woman who was missing for nearly one month, was successfully located in San Francisco yesterday, her mother Jenny Higgins told us.

Jenny told us she spent yesterday in San Francisco looking for her daughter and after 14 hours of walking the city, putting up posters, and meeting with police officers, her daughter was found safe and sound and brought back home to Mendocino County.

After her daughter’s story was shared hundreds of times across social media, Jenny expressed her gratitude to every person who shared Tia’s story.

    • What the hell… Did anybody ask why she went missing? What a waste of resources if she was just simply at a friend’s house for a month. Or is this story missing important information? WTF!?

      • Not a waste. A beautiful human soul in trouble and her beautiful Momma, my friend Jenny was worried sick about her.
        Do you have kids? Kind of an insensitive thing to say, knowing nothing about the situation. Perhaps refer back to Disney’s movie Bambi and Thumpers Fathers’ advice, “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.
