Woman Thrown Off A Horse in Covelo—Medical Rescue Underway

An air ambulance responded to Round Valley after reports emerged of a 31-year-old woman being thrown from a horse and seriously injured.

Scanner traffic indicates the woman has potentially suffered a fractured pelvis near the site of the incident. The incident occurred in a field near the intersection of Foothill Boulevard and Concaw Boulevard near Whipple Point.

An air ambulance in the area had to find an appropriate landing zone while first responders extricated the woman from the site of the incident to where she would be flown out for medical care.
