Paul Pelosi, the 82-year-old husband of Democratic House Speaker and California Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi, allegedly drunkenly drove his Porsche this last Saturday night in Napa County when another motorist collided with his luxury vehicle. Officers would arrest him at the scene for driving under the influence and he would be booked in the Napa County Detention Facility

Pelosi’s bail was set at $5,000 and public records indicate he was released early the next morning.

The press release indicates the collision occurred near the intersection of State Route 29 and Walnut Lane. When officers arrived on the scene, they determined neither driver had been injured. Investigations determined Pelosi was driving his Porsche eastbound on Walnut Lane when he attempted to cross SR-29. 48-year-old Calistoga man Jesus Lopez was driving northbound on SR-29 and collided with Pelosi’s Porsche.

Officers arrested Pelosi “for driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage at 11:44 p.m” after which he was booked at the county jail.

A spokesman for the House Speaker told the New York Times that “The speaker will not be commenting on this private matter, which occurred while she was on the East Coast.”

  1. Another criminal booked at 4:13 a.m let out at7 :26 a.m.

    Special Treatment?????

It’s not clear why if he was busted at 11:44 p.m. on Saturday that he wasn’t booked until 4:13 a.m.

Rules for thee but not for meeee says Nancy

    • Talk about special treatment – he wasn’t tested with the breathalyzer until FOUR HOURS after his bust (I’m not sure why this detail was not included in this article, I’ve read it in several other reports, surely it is of interest to readers). The magic number being three hours. At fours hours his blood alcohol was still over the limit, which means he was effing trashed when the accident occurred. If he hadn’t had the accident I am certain they’d have let him go, don’t you agree?

      • It’s not mentioned in this article because Matt LeFever is a dog shit reporter. He rarely gets any important info, he just wants to look like he’s on top of things. In reality he’s nothing more than a dude with a blog.
