[UPDATE]Branscomb Road Head-On Collision Leaves Lane Blocked

Scanner traffic and the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information page indicate that around 8:54 p.m. two vehicles collided head-on along Branscomb Road east of Highway 1.

Emergency personnel are just arriving on the scene as of 9:35 p.m. and told dispatch they are putting traffic control into place as they assess the scene.

The reporting party indicated black Volvo collided with a white pickup and the vehicles are partially blocking the roadway. The vehicles are reportedly smoking as a result of the collision.


UPDATE 9:50 p.m.: The CHP Traffic Incident Information page indicates tow trucks have been requested to the scene. At this point, there has been no information provided regarding the injuries of the parties involved.
