On-going scanner traffic indicates chaotic circumstances are playing out this evening. The dispatcher is reporting that a group of men on Willits’s Trembly Court was taking part in the filming of a music video when some sort of incident occurred forcing them to quickly flee in a vehicle as two cars pursued and shot at them.

They were then chased by two vehicles that fired multiple shots at them. The fleeing men finally stopped their vehicle near the intersection of Highway 101 and West Road. The two pursuing vehicles reportedly pulled up behind the men and three black male adults exited one car and either jumped into the other and fled or fled on foot.

A taxi driver called law enforcement reporting a suspicious circumstance after getting a call from a man who said he was on Uva Drive (not far from where the black male adults were last seen) and wanted a ride to San Bruno, a Bay Area town 130 miles south.

Three of the men that reportedly shot at the fleeing vehicle were the three black male adults involved in the cannabis robbery and manhunt that took place on July 21, 2022.

UPDATE 9:56 p.m.: Scanner traffic indicates law enforcement is out with at least one suspect and located a Glock 19 handgun on his person.

UPDATE 10:01 p.m.: A law enforcement officer investigating the victim’s vehicle reported they found five confirmed bullet holes in the vehicle.

UPDATE 11:16 p.m.: Matt LaFever live at the Hopland gas station where some of the suspects were detained.

UPDATE 11:16 p.m.: Two suspects associated with this incident were successfully apprehended in Hopland. From what we have gathered, the pair contacted a tow truck company that picked up them and their vehicle. The tow truck driver quickly gathered there was something amiss and began to text law enforcement secretly about the pair. California Highway Patrol apprehended the tow truck with the men in Hopland and successfully detained them.

Here are some of the pictures of the scene where the two were detained:

UPDATE 1:08 a.m.: Law enforcement is responding to the Broiler restaurant on Uva Drive in Redwood Valley where they are reportedly converging on the last outstanding suspect associated with this evening’s manhunt.

  1. Maybe if Mendocino County would start hanging criminals in the town square like in the 1800’s this crap would stop and other counties in California would get the same idea,
crime in California would stop. You Think?

    • Well I wish some of you Redwood Valley people would be as pissed off as I am all five of these guys after doing what they did were out of jail within six hours what the fuck I tried every department today to get a hold of somebody to tell me what is going on and nobody had an answer for me

  2. I notice you advocate for Marijuana growth and subsidies. You don’t seem to link the crime, degradation of the environment, or amount of taxpayer money used to regulate the problems associated. I’m currently struggling to pay bills and my government is subsidizing people to grow pot and you champion that.

    • What about Alcohol/Wine industry?! Not going to bitch about that? You don’t seem to link the crime, degradation of the environment, or amount of taxpayer money used to regulate the problems associated with that…..Hmmm.
I have yet to hear about Marijuana being a problem to such a degree as Alcohol has…

  3. So these lovely folks are all from Mississippi and Atlanta. So sick and tired of folks traveling from far and wide to commit crime in our county. We have enough knuckleheads as it is creating havoc. Some of these jackasses are already out on bail!!! Do you think they are going to show up for their court dates??? No wonder one of the “suspects” was trying to get a cab to San Bruno…apparently they knew they needed to get on the first flight out of SFO back to the swap ass they came from….

  4. I think this would be a wonderful opportunity to pause for a moment and give
thanks for the great contributions of the black community to our society.
Their peaceful and generous nature makes them ideal neighbors, lending
testimony to their exceptional family values and parenting skills unrivaled
by any other culture. Their child-rearing practices and skills mixed with their
unparalleled work ethic are second to none. Their rational and logical thought
toward circumstances coupled with their innate capability to de-escalate
situations are to be envied and coveted. Their commitment to academic excellence
enriches our schools and serves as an example to all who hope to achieve
prominence as a people. Real estate values are fueled by the mix of the
black communities in an area due to the caring and respectful nature of
these communities, which are an example of all they have achieved through their
enthusiasm for self-improvement, hard work, and self-reliance nature.
Without their industrious and creative drive, we would be poorer as a nation.

Hopefully the police will make good use of the stacks of cash shown in the pictures for more video related economic development in Willits!

  5. So all five of these guys got out within six hours what the fuck is going on with our system having loaded guns planning on committing a crime
