Law enforcement, fire, air, and ground medic were dispatched to State Route 162 northeast of Covelo after a vehicle rolled into a ditch reportedly entrapping a patient. The driver and solo occupant of the vehicle reportedly extricated herself and fled the scene in a separate vehicle.
The driver was then taken to the Covelo Firehouse where she is reportedly showing injuries all over her body. A Code 3 ground ambulance is being requested, meaning with lights and sirens.
The initial incident occurred around 8:03 p.m. involving a grey Toyota sedan driven by a female. When the Incident Commander arrived near the intersection of SR 162 and Logan Lane, the vehicle was abandoned and medical resources were canceled.
