Dr. Jenine Miller has been selected to participate in the National Association of Counties (NACo) Opioid Solutions Leadership Network: a national cohort of 30 county leaders pursuing innovative and evidence-based solutions with opioid settlement funds.

CEO Antle stated, “It is an honor to have such a professional leader in Mendocino County selected to represent California in a Nationwide program. I am very delighted that Dr. Jenine Miller was selected. I am confident she will represent the County and State well.”

The goals of the Opioid Solutions Leadership Network are to:

  • Elevate the role of counties in effectively investing settlement funds to save lives and address the needs of people with substance use disorders and
  • Provide a platform for county leaders to share knowledge and offer support to their counterparts across the country.

“It is an honor to be selected by NACo to be a part of the Opioid Solutions Leadership Network. As a professional in the behavioral health field for over 20 years and having lost family and friends from opioids, I look forward to learning from other professionals around the United States on what their states are doing to address the opioid epidemic. Being a member of the leadership network will also provide the opportunity to bring innovative approaches to Mendocino County. Mendocino County Behavioral Health is dedicated to providing substance use outreach, education, Naloxone distribution, and treatment to improve the lives of individuals and families within Mendocino County.” Dr. Jenine Miller stated regarding her selection.

Over the next year, members of the Opioid Solutions Leadership Network will explore opioid abatement strategies across the substance use continuum of care (i.e., prevention, treatment, recovery and harm reduction); travel to one another’s communities to see opioid solutions in action; and receive expert guidance from NACo’s partners at Vital Strategies.
