Fire Engulfs Potter Valley Home This Afternoon

A warming stove ignited a structure fire in Potter Valley this afternoon that engulfed the home prompting multiple local agencies to respond.

Originally dispatched around 3:57 p.m., the fire began in the garage of a home on the 8000 block of East Side Potter Valley Road. The flames spread to the second story and finally engulfed the home.

Multiple agencies provided mutual aid to Potter Valley Fire including Ukiah Valley Fire, Redwood Valley-Calpella Fire, and Hopland Fire.

By 5:47 p.m., personnel began to be released from the incident and the remaining personnel were mopping up.
