Willits Center for the Arts and Mendocino County Museum along with our business/organization venue partners and the Chamber of Commerce invite you to join artists, musicians, dancers, artisans and other creatives for three 2023 First Saturday evening strolls July 1, August 5, September 2, 2023 5:30pm-8:30pm to experience art, music, dance crafts and food as you walk (or bike) from one venue to the next along East Commercial Street in Historic Downtown Willits. The Mendocino County Museum and the Willits Center for the Arts will have free opening receptions and admission and special events on these dates. Willits Art Walks is the perfect way to relax, connect and enjoy the showcased arts and creativity between the Mendocino County Museum and the Willits Center for the Arts. This enjoyable evening begins at 5:30 p.m. and promises to delight your senses while enjoying the company of others. Complete your evening with unique world music and art at BACE “afterparties” (located conveniently next to Northspur Brewing Co.). There is also a call for creators, artists, dancers, musicians, et al. whether individual or an organization to pop up and share inside and outside venues along East Commercial Street on 1 or all 3 dates. Email manager@willitscenterforthearts.org with Willits Art Walks pop up request in the subject line. Describe your “thing”…show, sell, tell…dance, sing, paint, share a craft or skill. Venues along East Commercial can provide a space for you! Share your “THING” with your neighbors in creative community. Children must be accompanied by an adult guardian to have a pop up.
Venue participants currently include: The Mendocino County Museum, Kemmy’s Pies, The Chamber of Commerce, Imagination Station, and the Willits Center for the Arts. Participants will unite their efforts by opening their doors and sharing spaces with artists on the First Saturdays of July, August, and September from 5:30-8:30.
