A 4.4 magnitude earthquake shook the earth between Ukiah and Hopland this evening at 8:44 p.m., according to the United State Geological Society Earthquake tracker.

  1. Whole lot of shakin’ was going on along Old River Road. Rattled windows, jiggled framed photos and artwork, and a weird but strong ‘crack’ sound. The renovated farmhouse, a 1900s-era beauty, rode it out.

  2. I was sitting in my living room I didn’t feel it, but my friend felt it, but I didn’t…it takes a lot to rattle me.

  3. Mike is about 5 miles closer to the epicenter than we are. Our older windows raddled a bit for about 2 seconds then everything stopped.

  4. A good shake for less than 3 seconds in Ukiah but I’m upstairs and that amplifies. Spent 18 months in Iwakuni Japan and these little quakes so common. Until things start to fall off the shelf I don’t worry.
