A motorcycle rider has suffered major injuries after a traffic accident in Ukiah this evening.
As a result of the collision, South State Street will be closed from Luce Avenue to Talmage Road and the public has been asked to avoid the area.
Scanner traffic beginning around 9:57 p.m. indicated that a motorcycle collided with a vehicle near the intersection of Talmage Road and South State Street in front of Building Bridges prompting an emergency personnel and an air ambulance to be deployed.
The Incident Commander reported a 56-year-old man required a medevac after suffering several “long bone fractures” (which means breaking arms and/or legs) and airway management (which means medical personnel would have to make sure he is able to breath due to injuries).
