A fire was spotted northeast of Hopland at about 5:25 p.m.  near the 11,700 block of Old River Road.. The Incident Commander reported about 5:38 p.m. that the fire was currently about an acre creeping through grassland and oak woodland. There are no threatened structures at this time and the fire has a low potential to go large. There are power lines in the area of the fire though.
