Erica Fuentes (née Gonzalez) was born on April 27, 1986, in Ukiah, California. She was 37 years old when she passed, due to a vehicle accident. She was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She is survived by her loving husband Sergio Fuentes, father Rafael Gonzalez, mother Delfina Gonzalez, sister Silvia Gonzalez, brother Rafael Gonzalez, nephew Adrian, niece Sophia, and Erica’s beloved dog, Chiquis.
Erica and Sergio were recently married in a Catholic ceremony before all of their friends and family on July 22, 2023. It was a joyous and beautiful event. She dreamed of becoming a mother and was so excited to start a family with her husband. Like her husband Sergio, she was planning to raise her children in the Catholic church.
She was self-sacrificing to those she loved. She always tried to help and support her loved ones.
Erica loved her family very deeply. She was a loving aunt to her nephew Adrian and niece Sofia. She was greatly involved in their lives. She wanted her entire family to be taken care of and she loved nothing more than caring for her family.
Even in choosing her profession and in her studies when she achieved her master’s degree, as a counselor and later, a teacher, it was to help others; especially children. Erica was a fourth grade teacher. She loved her students. She worked hard for their education and sound minds.
Her chosen patron saint was St. Francis of Assisi, because from early childhood, she loved and cared for all animals that she came across. She wanted to start a dog shelter for homeless dogs.
Erica loved to cook. She was a wonderful, loving wife.
She was very happy and always had a smile for everyone.
She was dearly beloved by her family, her students and her community.

She sounds like a beautiful person and soul, rest in peace, and may her memory live on and inspire others until you meet again in paradise. A beautiful obituary, I wish I’d known her, she sounds like an angel on earth. My condolences to all she held dear.
hard to believe no drugs or alcohol involved.
How is that hard to believe?! Accidents happen!
I just heard about this. She was a great person. I’m so sorry for her husband and family. Somehow I feel you are still somewhere, not gone, just in another plane. God bless you Erica.
