Suspect Linked to Gang-Related Shooting in Fort Bragg Found in Possession of Guns, Magic Mushrooms

The following is a press release issued by the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office. This has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:

Dylan Lee Dixon [Mugshot from the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office Booking Logs]

On 03/16/2024 at approximately 05:14 A.M., Deputies from the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office received a report of shooting in the area of Boice Lane and N Highway 1 (17000 block of N Hwy 1) in Fort Bragg, CA. Upon arrival to the area, Deputies were provided a description of a vehicle observed fleeing the area northbound on Highway 1 towards the city of Fort Bragg. The vehicle was described as a white four-door Honda Sedan with a Hispanic female driver. Fort Bragg Police Department units and oncoming MCSO dayshift units assisted in the search for the suspect vehicle.

Based on the description of the vehicle and the driver, Deputies believed the suspect vehicle likely belonged to a 22-year-old Hispanic female whose vehicle was associated with other gang-related activity and a previous shooting. The female was also determined to be currently out of custody on pretrial release terms for a previous shooting case. One expended 9mm casing was discovered near the intersection of Boice Lane and N Highway 1.

Deputies had knowledge of the Hispanic female being associated with Dylan Dixon who resided at a residence on Dryer Lane in Fort Bragg. Deputies proceeded to Dryer Lane in search of the suspect vehicle and as they approached the general area, the white Honda sedan was observed leaving the location eastbound on W. Highway 20 at a high rate of speed. Deputies began pursuing the white Honda and lost sight of the vehicle near mile post marker 2.00 on W. Highway 20. After travelling some distance further east on W. Highway 20, Sheriff’s Office personnel began checking side roads while travelling west back to where the vehicle was last observed. The vehicle was then observed travelling east on W. Highway 20 again near mile post marker 3.00. An enforcement stop was initiated in the 29000 block of W. Highway 20. The Hispanic female was contacted driving the white Honda with one additional passenger. A search of the vehicle was conducted; however no evidence related to the shooting incident was discovered. A single 9mm bullet hole was discovered in the driver’s door and the female advised she did not know how the bullet hole originated. While contacting the occupants of the white Honda, Deputies observed the female driver was receiving text messages on her phone from Dixon. Deputies ended their contact with the occupants of the white Honda and proceeded back to the Dryer Lane address where Dixon resided.

While entering the Dryer Lane address, Sheriff’s Office Deputies and Fort Bragg Police Department Officers contacted another vehicle leaving the location with numerous young adults observed inside the vehicle. One of the subjects inside the vehicle was found to have active arrest warrants from Mendocino County, and was taken into custody without incident. As Deputies and FBPD Officers continued to the residence on Dryer Lane, Dixon was observed climbing out of a window of the residence with a black duffle bag, and fleeing into the wooded area behind the residence. Deputies and FBPD Officers pursued Dixon into the wooded area and located him hiding behind a tree. Dixon was detained and a search of the immediate area revealed the black duffle bag and Dixon’s cell phone on the ground next to it. When Deputies searched the black duffle bag they discovered a silver .38 revolver, a silver Mac-11 style automatic pistol, and a large bag of suspected psilocybin mushrooms. Dixon was arrested for numerous firearms-related charges, violation of the terms of his pretrial release, and possession of controlled substances (mushrooms).

Sheriff’s Deputies requested a bail enhancement for Dixon from a Judge with the Superior Court of California – County of Mendocino. Dixon was ultimately booked into the Mendocino County Jail in lieu of $150,000 bail.

  1. The vexing part of the situation is that he looks to be such a loveable young lad.Perhaps he just needs a little kindness and therapy? Personally I would recommend placing him in a padded cell and force feeding him the entire contents of the large bag of shrooms. Which in vague law enforcement terms could be ounces or poundage.Either way that would more than likely result in leaving him with a lasting and more peaceful outlook on life.

    • So we should probably get him a shaman and a quite, safe, locked space away from his trauma. Maybe some healthy food and a break from the phone he was raised on, whatever synthetic drugs he’s been on and like suggested, take the heroic dose of mushrooms with a spotter. Feel the truth. Start new.
I’m not being sarcastic. If only jails were sanctuaries of retreat and healing, instead of retraumatizing institutions of barbarity. This kid is guaranteed to come out harder then when he went in, with all his minions waiting on the outside. The amplification of a monster.
Fentanyl is loose inside the jails already. Why not intentionally release mushrooms in the jails? Why?

  2. Dylan and an army of minors and young adults think they are Norteños/Bloods. He has them doing his dirty work(stealing cars and selling drugs ) and taking the fall for him most of the time. Usually he would of had those items he got caught with hidden at a friend’s house. This piece of fake gang fecal matter needs to be locked up for good. You people have no idea how dangerous and influential he really is.

    • Wow you sure seem to know a lot about Mr Dixon. From what I know Mr Dixon doesn’t know how to drive yet? He spent his 17th year of life in juvenile hall for resisting arrest and violation of probation!! Also knowing Mr Dixon personally I can tell you he doesn’t sell drugs and the only drugs he uses is mushrooms (obviously). Cocaine, marijuana and alcohol all substances are used occasionally not daily. He literally despises meth and opiates and doesn’t hang around anyone who uses either. Hopefully your judgment doesn’t end up as a curse on your own children. If anyone has a problem with Mr Dixons outlook on life maybe taking it up with the state of California/mendocino county for illegally taking him from his family the day his mom passed at age 11. His family and his self spent the next 7 years and 100’s of thousands of dollars trying to get him returned home with no luck. Say what you want about this kid but someday I hope you get a chance to meet him without judgement and you’ll see his true character. He will fight any bully on the planet who tries picking on someone. Even if he doesn’t know the person.he stands on principles and values that most people don’t understand. He holds doors for the elderly walking into the store. And is always aware of his surroundings reading people’s energy to make sure everyone is ok. Seems how there was at least one person who was a felon when the police came and would be in jail if those guns were found to have been in the house(he was never seen jumping out the window). This press release is about inaccurate as your comment. May God Bless you and everyone else involved.

      • This sounds more like the truth. It’s sad that these MF ‘s are so quick to judge. Good Lord be leaders not follower! Nobody knows how anybody feels about life and how it effects a individual. They can only guess but never can they say they know, they can relate. So everyone needs to mind their own. That is the best policy wouldn’t you say.

      • You are his father,he hangs around you,a month before this you yourself got arrested for sales in ukiah and have plead guilty to sales of fentynol, also charged with meth and lsd,the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree,Dylan thinks he’s gangster obviously learned behavior you are totally responsible for your sons out come.
