A vehicle pursuit in Ukiah involving a stolen vehicle ended abruptly this evening when they crashed into a Westside residence.

Scanner traffic began around 9:51 p.m. indicating law enforcement was pursuing a possible stolen vehicle westbound on Perkins Street at speeds as high as 80 miles/hour.

Just minutes later the pursuing officer reported the vehicle had crashed into a building on the 100 block of Highland Avenue, a residential street in Ukiah’s westside.

The Incident Commander at the scene reported the “building seems sound” and initial reports from officers on the scene indicated the driver of the vehicle might have broken their leg.

Dispatch informed officers at the scene that the vehicle is associated with a stolen vehicle investigation out of Santa Rosa

  1. It’s a stolen car. Why do the police dangerously pursue in such high speed that endangers those on a narrow street in a residential neighborhood.
