The Willits Charter School Travel Club, dedicated to providing students with opportunities to explore new places and gain educational travel experiences, will host its inaugural Poker Tournament on Thursday, Nov. 9. The event will be held at Sparetime Supply Distribution, located at 300 East Commercial St. in Willits, with doors opening at 4 p.m. and the game beginning at 5 p.m.

This 21-and-over fundraiser promises an evening filled with tri-tip dinners, comedy entertainment, beer, wine, and a variety of prizes for participants. Proceeds will go toward funding future travel opportunities for students, enabling them to explore cultural, historical, and educational destinations.

For more details, contact Caren Pokosa at (707) 841-7075 or Erin Orth at Honeydew707@yahoo.com. The club recently toured Metal Fx, a local business sponsoring the tri-tip for the event, and shared memories from their recent trip to Washington, D.C.
