The Ukiah Police Department is pleased to announce a significant contribution to our community’s emergency preparedness, thanks to the generous donation of medical supplies from Medstar Ukiah Ambulance. This crucial support will aid in the development of our mass casualty kits, enhancing our capability to respond effectively during large-scale emergencies.
The donated medical supplies include essential items necessary for immediate and efficient medical response. These supplies will be integral in ensuring that our mass casualty kits are well-equipped to handle a range of scenarios, from natural disasters to large-scale accidents, ultimately safeguarding the health and safety of our community members. The Ukiah Police Department would also like to extend a sincere thank you to Western Regional Counterdrug Training Center (WRCTC) for their expert-led training program, which provided our officers with invaluable medical skills to enhance their ability to respond to emergencies. The medical training, conducted by WRCTC was designed to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our officers in real-world medical situations. The comprehensive course covered essential life-saving techniques, giving our team the tools they need to act swiftly and decisively when faced with medical emergencies in the field. The session included hands-on demonstrations and interactive scenarios, allowing officers to practice their newly acquired skills in a realistic environment.
